John McCone: "Hank turned that radar installation into a transmitter, designed to amplify brainwaves or it could enhance your telepathic powers. Help us find other mutants for our division."
Erik: [stepping] "What if they don't want to be found by you?"
Charles: [turning, smiling] "Erik! You decided to stay."
Erik: [eyes him before answering John] "If the new species is being discovered, it'll be by its own kind. Charles and I find the mutants, no suits."
John McCone: "First of all, that's my machine out there. Second of all, much more importantly, this is Charles' decision. Charles is fine with the CIA being involved. Isn't that right?"
[Charles and Erik exchange looks]
Charles: [breathes in] "No. I'm sorry, but..." [nodding to Erik] "I'm with Erik. We'll find them alone."
John McCone: "What if I say no?"
Charles: [bitch please face] "Then good luck using your installation without me."
Impressions:
- another meeting with the CIA! . . . he is not impressed with them.
- this is a very nice memory to receive because it shows that he and Erik are on the same page.
